Green Energy Scandinavia A/S (“Green Energy Scandinavia”) and we deliver solar cell solutions to the transportation- and construction industry, and is the operational subsidiary of the Norwegian company Green Energy AS. In order to provide our services, Green Energy Scandinavia processes personal data where necessary.

Green Energy Scandinavia is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy and cookie policy describes how Green Energy processes personal data, and the rights of individuals according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”) by such processing. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy and cookie statement.

Green Energy Scandinavia is the controller according to GDPR for the processing of personal data gathered for our own purposes, including marketing, research, internal record keeping, and improving products and services. If you access other websites through links at our website, the designated owner of that website will be the controller and thus responsible for any privacy matters related to the information you provide at such sites.

Green Energy Scandinavia is a manufacturer specializing in solar driven energy to the transportation business. We provide both the physical products for solar driven energy as well as the incorporated software to manage the system offered as one service. In relation to this, we process personal data such as:

  • Contact information of current and future employees
  • Contact information of contact persons with our suppliers, partners and third parties
  • Contact information of our customers and private individuals who register with us
  • Information about the usage of our products and services
  • Information about visitors of our website, including IP-address, user sessions, and click-activity on our website


The individuals we process personal data about are data subjects according to GDPR. If you fall within the term of a data subject, you have the following rights with a few reservations:

  • Access to personal data
    • You have the right to see what information we process about you, unless it is not covered by any exceptions, such as a statutory duty of confidentiality or if it will violate the rights and freedoms of others.

Overview of data processing activities

The purpose of the processing of personal data as listed below is to provide and improve the products and services of Green Energy Scandinavia, find future employees for Green Energy Scandinavia, and conduct marketing and promotional activities of Green Energy Scandinavia.

5.1.

Managing of customer relationships

In order to establish and maintain customer relationships to perform our services, it is necessary to gather and process information about customers in the internal records of Green Energy Scandinavia.

The information being processed is the name and job title of customers, email address, telephone number, postcode, as well as other preferences, interests and information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

The legal basis for this processing is GDPR article 6 letter f) by the legitimate interest of Green Energy Scandinavia in processing personal data to manage customer relationships in order to provide their products and services in the solar-driven energy business.

5.2.

Billing

We process personal data in order to invoice our customers for our products and services through our accounting system.

The information being processed will be contact information of the customer received from the customer, as well as costs and other information regarding the specific sales agreement.

The legal basis for this processing is a legitimate interest according to GDPR article 6 letter f) in invoicing customers, and to fulfill an agreement with the customer according to GDPR article 6 letter b). For the storing of personal data and accounting GDPR article 6 letter c), to fulfill a legal obligation, serves as a legal basis.

5.3.

Usage of products and services

When buying and using our products and incorporated service, we collect and process data about your use of our products through the software incorporated in each solar power system. These data may contain personal data.

The information being processed will be demographic information and information relating to your individual use of our products and incorporated services within transportation. This will include the level of power generated by our products and services from the individual use, as well as other numbers relating to the performance of the services in the transportation by the specific customer.

The legal basis for processing such information is GDPR article 6 letter b) as the processing is considered necessary for the performance of the contract relating to the services. The collection and processing of such data is an integrated part of the contract between Green Energy Scandinavia and the customer, and thus it is necessary to process data to fulfill this agreement.

The legal basis for this processing is a legitimate interest according to GDPR article 6 letter f) in invoicing customers, and to fulfill an agreement with the customer according to GDPR article 6 letter b). For the storing of personal data and accounting GDPR article 6 letter c), to fulfill a legal obligation, serves as a legal basis.

5.4.

Employees

To manage the employees of Green Energy Scandinavia and perform general human resources management, personal data about employees are being processed. This includes the name of the employee, employee matters, CV, tax information and other salary deductions, sick leave and other circumstances related to the employee’s job position.

The processing is necessary in order to fulfil the employment contract to which the data subject is part of, and thus has its legal basis in accordance with GDPR article 6 letter b). For special categories of personal data, the processing has its legal basis in accordance with GDPR article 9 letter b).

5.5.

Job applications

In order to hire the right people for Green Energy Scandinavia it is necessary to gather and process personal data related to the domestic hiring process.

The personal data being processed will be information provided by job applicants through their job applications, including name, address, CV, and other personal information about the individual with reference to former employers and contact persons.

The legal basis for this processing is consent according to GDPR article 6 letter a). The purpose of the processing is to gather relevant information about job applicants, as well as keeping information for a limited period of time afterwards in case the application or its material may be used because new staff demands occurs.

5.6.

Marketing and research

 We market our business through sending promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information we think you may find interesting, using the email you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes by email, phone, fax or mail.

Personal data being processed for this purpose are email address, name, phone and role.

The legal basis for this processing is GDPR article 6 letter f) to keep clients up to date with our services. For marketing to other data subjects registered with us, the legal basis for processing is consent according to GDPR article 6 letter a). Each recipient of our marketing may unsubscribe to this by writing to or sending us an email at contact@ge-scan.com.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

 We do not share or disclose personal data to third parties unless there is a legal basis for disclosure.

Green Energy Scandinavia may share certain data with third parties about your activities on our website in order to target advertising, e.g., through the use of third-party cookies. You can view third parties which are involved in the section “Cookies” below. The purpose of the sharing is to target advertising in order to improve our website and services. The legal basis for collecting and sharing such information is consent according to the GDPR article 6 letter a). To restrict the collection or use of your personal information as described in this paragraph, you may indicate in a form provided on our website that you do not want the information to be used by anyone for direct marketing purposes.

Green Energy Scandinavia use a number of third parties for the storage and processing of data on behalf of Green Energy Scandinavia. These operates as processors according to the GDPR and will only store and process data according to satisfactory requirements of information security. All processors will only process information on behalf of Green Energy Scandinavia according to a data processing agreement in order to provide their services to us.

Data processing within the EU/EEA

 Personal data as described in this policy is exclusively processed within the EU/EEA. No personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA. Should it be necessary to process personal data outside the EU/EEA, this will be done in accordance with the GDPR and with the associated legal basis for processing.

Data retention

Personal data as mentioned in this policy is only being processed as long as it is deemed necessary in order to fulfill the described purposes.

Where a consent serves as a legal basis for processing personal data, this data will be deleted if the consent is withdrawn. Personal data stored in order to fulfill an agreement with the user will be deleted once the agreement has been fulfilled and all duties relating to the contractual relationship have ended.

Data about your website usage, what ads you receive and possibly clicks you perform, geographical location, gender and your age segment may be gathered and processed and passed on to third parties through third party cookies. If such third-party cookies are used, they will be listed here. 

For functionality purposes, we use the first party cookie pll_language to store language settings. The purpose of using this cookie is to provide a suitable website for customers and other visitors.  The information gathered by this cookie is deleted after 1 year.

Green Energy Scandinavia use communication platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, which may use cookies. This is regulated by the individual platform’s terms of service

Information security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. According to the GDPR we process personal data in a satisfactory manner and have a strong focus on information security. We have implemented technical and organizational measures and associated routines, and require the same from our suppliers and collaborators, including the necessary documentation of such information security.

Our digital infrastructure is delivered by an IT-partner which has implemented the necessary and proactive measures to protect sensitive information against unauthorized access and changes. Furthermore, in order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, technical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
