Zarb Coaches Ltd is a family-run coach operator based in Malta, established in 1947 and now in its fourth generation under director Frederick Zarb. The company operates a mixed fleet of coaches and minibuses and is a longstanding member of the Global Passenger Network (GPN).

Zarb Coaches became a Green Energy dealer in Malta
The Challenge
Like many operators, Zarb Coaches wanted to improve fuel efficiency and reduce vehicle downtime caused by battery and alternator issues.
The Solution
Through their membership of the Global Passenger Network, Zarb Coaches connected with Green Energy and installed vehicle-mounted solar systems across several coaches and minibuses.
The Results
Since installation, Zarb Coaches has seen approximately 5–7% lower fuel consumption (customer-reported). Battery reliability has also improved significantly, with fewer alternator and battery issues in day-to-day operation. The results were strong enough that Zarb Coaches became a Green Energy dealer in Malta – going from customer to partner.
