Challenge
Trucks regularly failed to start after overnight stops. Each jump-start callout cost €400-500 and caused costly downtime across the fleet.
Solution
After trialling solar on one DAF XG against an identical truck without panels, HST ordered 32 new trucks all fitted with 110 Wp solar systems.
Outcome
Battery failures eliminated completely. Drivers can run all comfort systems during breaks without issues. HST now fits solar to every new truck as standard.
