Challenge

Fogtmann’s retail customers expect clear progress on sustainability. With 19% idling across the fleet, reducing unnecessary fuel burn was a priority – without disrupting daily operations.

Solution

Fogtmann fitted four trucks with 110 Wp solar systems. The panels continuously charge the battery, reducing alternator load and supporting auxiliary power when the engine is off.

Outcome

Fuel savings were measured with 95% statistical confidence. Drivers reported more stable power and improved battery reliability. Fogtmann now plans to roll out solar across the full 70-vehicle fleet.

TESTIMONIAL

“For us, solar is an obvious business decision. When a solution delivers clear fuel savings and a payback in under a year, you act. Our customers expect us to lead on sustainability, and with solar we can deliver measurable gains while strengthening the bottom line.”
