Why Solar Made Sense
Anderson Travel’s vehicles run full every day, so revenue growth is limited. The focus is on cost savings. They previously relied on a noisy, expensive diesel generator for onboard power.
What's Been Installed
Solar systems on two buses, including a fully equipped sports coach with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, kitchen, microwave and refrigerator — all now powered by renewable energy.
Early Results
In the first month, one solar-equipped bus saved around 100 litres of diesel and almost a quarter tonne of CO2. The diesel generator is no longer needed.
Anderson Travel has seen immediate fuel and noise benefits. The solar solution replaces the diesel generator entirely for onboard power.
