SOLAR FOR TRANSPORT

Advanced Solar Tech

Our roof-mounted solar systems use CIGS thin-film technology, well suited to demanding road conditions. Lightweight, durable and glass-free, it performs reliably even when exposed to vibration, weather and temperature changes.

Solar provides a continuous source of power for vehicle systems and onboard electronics. It supports the battery, reduces alternator load and helps lower fuel consumption. For transport operators, solar is a practical and scalable upgrade that delivers immediate savings with fast payback and no change to fleet operations.

More power. Faster payback. Same size.

60 Wp panels = 10% more efficient than before

95 Wp panels = 20% more efficient than before

For trucks > more power from the same panel size

For buses and trailers > higher output at lower system cost

NEW FOR 2026

Next-Gen Solar Power

The new generation of 60 Wp and 95 Wp solar panels delivers 10-20% higher output and better efficiency from the same footprint as previous generations. Our solar systems already deliver measurable fuel savings in daily operations:

500 - 1,000 L

of diesel saved per truck per year

1,600 - 2,100 L

of diesel saved per bus per year

The new panel upgrade will only strengthen these savings further. You can expect:

  • More usable energy and stronger performance
  • Lower system cost and faster payback
  • Reduced fuel costs and better margins.

LIGHTWEIGHT & DURABLE

Built for heavy transport

CIGS solar panels are ultra-thin, lightweight and flexible. They are bonded directly to vehicle roofs without frames or drilling, making them easy to fit on truck tractors, buses and trailers without compromising aerodynamics.

Glass-free and durable, the panels are resistant to vibration, shocks and extreme temperatures. They perform well in low light and partial shade, delivering more consistent and reliable energy through the day and across the year.

Flexible and durable (no microcracks)

Ultra-lightweight (3mm thick)

Shock-, weather-, and fire- resistant

25 year performance guarantee

Low carbon footprint

Withstands pressure washing

Tapes directly to the roof, no frames

Compatible with all batteries

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

Solar production

CIGS solar tech performs better in low light and partial shade, delivering more consistent output throughout the course of a day.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

CIGS vs. crystalline

CIGS solar tech is ideal for heavy transport. Unlike traditional crystalline panels, CIGS is glass-free, removing the risk of microcracks caused by vibration and shocks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The new 60 Wp panels match the size of previous 55 Wp panels, and 95 Wp panels match the size of previous 80 Wp panels, just with more power. New panels can be added to existing systems to increase total output or create a new configuration.
Higher output increases the amount of usable energy available each day, improving battery stability during parking, winter operation and short daylight periods.
No. The increase comes from improved panel efficiency. Installation, system components and daily operation remain unchanged.
Yes. The panels retain the same lightweight, glass-free CIGS design, engineered to withstand vibration, harsh weather and pressure washing.

Explore more of the benefits of CIGS Solar Panels

The CIGS solar panel is often recognised on its slim profile, its flexibility and its low weight. CIGS solar panels are better than conventional solar panels in almost every aspect, when it comes to sustainability efforts and especially durability.
