Green Energy

Turning sustainability into profitability through innovative solar technology

Green Energy is a specialist in vehicle-mounted solar systems for heavy road transport. With standardised solutions for trucks, buses and trailers, our systems are built for daily commercial use.

Installed directly on the vehicle roof, our lightweight, durable CIGS panels send power straight to the vehicle battery when driving or parked. This reduces strain on the alternator and lowers fuel consumption.

The complete system combines advanced solar technology, smart charge control and performance monitoring. Today, more than 3,000 systems are active across commercial fleets.

A scalable investment that cuts fuel use, improves battery reliability and delivers measurable CO₂ reduction – with immediate operational impact and fast payback.

Turn your fleet roof into a cost-saving asset that improves your bottom line.

Fleet solutions

Engineered for road transport

Solar systems for trucks

Cut diesel use by 646–847 litres per truck per year. Reduce alternator load, extend battery life and lower CO₂ emissions. Fits truck tractors, rigid and box trucks.

Solar systems for buses

Generate extra power on the roof to support high onboard electrical demand. Save 1,616–2,052 litres of diesel per bus per year, improve reliability and passenger comfort.

Solar systems for trailers

Keep trailer starter batteries charged. Support tail lifts, refrigeration units and auxiliary systems while reducing fuel use, battery failures and unplanned downtime.

Solar performance data

New milestone reached: solar data from 10 million driven km confirms fuel and CO₂ savings.

The world’s largest real-world solar dataset for commercial transport covers 10 million kilometres, 132 vehicles and 990 vehicle months of measured data. Every single operator shows positive savings across all climates, all seasons and all operating profiles. The size of the dataset produces a more precise savings range, making budget planning more reliable and confirming year-on-year savings across the fleet.

EU-funded independent research confirmed significant fuel and CO₂ savings and fast payback on solar for commercial vehicles. Our real-world data confirms it at scale.

NEW FOR 2026

Next-Gen Solar Power

Our new generation of 60 Wp and 95 Wp solar panels delivers 10-20% higher output and better efficiency from the same footprint as previous generations. The upgraded solar systems will strengthen your savings even further than before. You can expect:

System benefits

Save fuel, extend battery life and cut carbon emissions

Green Energy’s solar systems are a high-impact fuel efficiency lever that contribute to decarbonisation. With standard configurations from 120 Wp to 1520 Wp, systems are matched to trucks, buses and trailers.

Typical annual savings range from 646–847 litres per truck and 1,616–2,052 litres per bus, with direct CO₂ reduction. Continuous battery charging also improves reliability, increases battery lifespan and reduces the risk of battery-related downtime.
